My experience with CRM systems has been primarily in a healthcare context, where my use of these tools was quite basic. It’s important to note that while I have a foundational understanding, my expertise in leveraging CRM systems for broader business applications is limited. Should the need arise, I am fully prepared to dive deeper into these platforms to unlock their potential for your business.
Complex Automation:
At present, I have not worked with complex automation systems. My hands-on experience in this area is nonexistent, and it’s an aspect of digital marketing I am yet to explore. However, I am open to the challenge and ready to invest the effort needed to develop skills in complex automation if it becomes relevant to your project’s success.
Unfamiliar Platforms:
Platforms like LinkedIn, Twitter, and YouTube, as well as LinkedIn ads, fall outside my realm of experience. These platforms have long histories and established marketing strategies that I am not familiar with. While I haven’t had the chance to engage with marketing on these platforms, I am willing to put in the hard work to learn and apply effective strategies should the opportunity present itself.

Overview:
My journey with Sheffield Sports Medicine began at the start of my digital marketing career and has been a cornerstone of my work over the last three years. Initially, the challenge was substantial; The website was difficult to navigate, aesthetically unpleasing, and the content was scattered—frankly, it was a mess. They delivered an exceptional customer experience in person, but digitally, it was akin to a bucket riddled with holes, losing potential engagements at every click.
My goal was to transform this disjointed online experience into one that not only matched but also enhanced the clinic’s outstanding real-world reputation. Below is a glimpse of what that journey looked like.
The Challenge:
The original Sheffield Sports Medicine website was a digital labyrinth, hard to navigate with a disorganized layout and thin content that did little to engage visitors. The lack of a clear call to action, authority-building elements, and a user journey map were holding back their online potential.
Strategic Redesign:
My mission was straightforward: align the website with the clinic’s top-tier in-person reputation. I revamped the site with a clean layout, making it straightforward for visitors to find what they were looking for and easy to reach out for help. The new design was professional, reflecting the clinic’s medical expertise, yet welcoming enough to navigate through detailed treatment information.
Understanding the UK healthcare market helped shape my strategy. People seeking help were looking for a human connection, not a hard sell. So I designed the site to invite conversations, using forms for easy contact, offering free 15-minute calls with clinic experts, and integrating chat options. This approach paved the way for better interaction and trust-building with potential patients.
Results:
2022 Results
In 2022, the focus was on conversions, leading to a significant increase in patient inquiries. From forms alone, the clinic gained 120 new patient inquiries, setting a new benchmark for success.
2023 Results
2023 was a year of remarkable growth, nearly tripling our numbers with 301 new patient inquiries. This surge was driven by increased traffic and a sharper conversion rate.
2024 Results
Just two months into 2024, we've already achieved 24% of last year's total patient inquiries from forms, a testament to the enduring strength of our digital strategy.
Conversion Rate:
Starting in 2021 with a conversion rate just over 2%, we've seen impressive growth. After the redesign in 2022, the rate soared to 6.8%. In 2023, it reached 8.3%, and while it has seen a slight dip to 7.4% in the last two months due to reduced services, it remains well above the industry average of 3.8%, meaning the website turn more visitors into qualified leads than most
The numbers tell a success story. Over three years, the website saw a consistent 30% year-over-year growth in new patient inquiries via forms. Social media chat boxes became a powerful touchpoint, contributing to a yearly 23% increase in new patient inquiries. As of March 2024, the website converts 10 to 15 new patient inquiries each week, with 63% of those converting into actual patients. The forms placed strategically throughout the site have proven their worth, often being the first point of contact for most new inquiries.
The Challenge:
Before I joined the team, Sheffield Sports Medicine was barely visible online. They relied heavily on word-of-mouth, with the website averaging 200 visitors a month. The clinic’s online content lacked authority, keyword strategy was non-existent, and SEO best practices were overlooked. Their domain name was the only SEO advantage they had.
My Approach:
I started with an SEO audit, fixed critical issues, and picked out the best keywords for a clinic in Sheffield – keeping in mind the services they provide. Then, from March to August 2021, I focused on creating content that would catch the right eyes—content that would draw in potential patients specifically looking for what the clinic offers.
Results:
March to August 2021:
Before
The website was attracting around 250 organic visitors monthly, but with a meager 2% conversion rate. The site was ranking for keywords that didn't attract the ideal audience, and the layout wasn’t helping either.
After: August 2021
Six months into a targeted SEO strategy, organic traffic soared to over 650 monthly visitors. By August, the conversion rate peaked at 9%, a clear sign we were now drawing in the right visitors. Though that rate only laster 2 months to later stabilize at 6.8% in 2022, that initial peak was a promising indicator of the website's potential to engage and convert effectively.
This approach worked. By August, the site’s organic traffic had more than doubled, hitting over 650 monthly visits. This wasn’t just about getting more clicks; it was about getting the right clicks – reflected by the rise of the website’s conversion rate.
November 2023 to February 2024
As illustrated in the attached image, you’ll observe that as of 2024, organic traffic has stabilized at a healthy 900 to 1150 visits monthly, demonstrating sustained growth and a solidified online presence despite not actively pushing SEO for nearly a year since the clinic is at full throttle genrating muliple 6-figures in revenue per year.
The Challenge:
My primary aim with email marketing was not just to keep Sheffield Sports Medicine in the minds of past patients but to genuinely enhance the lifetime value of each patient’s journey with the clinic. With Dr. Michael Lee’s (The Owner) expertise in sales (as a world stage speaker) permeating the clinic’s ethos, the focus was on reinforcing an already strong patient retention and conversion rate.
Tailored to You
Together with the clinic’s team, we began by segmenting the patient list based on their treatments, ensuring that follow-up communications were relevant and personal. After a patient’s appointment, they’d receive an automated email with tailored care advice and a gentle nudge towards package deals—a strategy that turned one-time patients into recurring ones.
Sneak In The Offers
The strategy was to engage patients with monthly offers and referrals, relevant to their interests and previous treatments. We sneaked them in with the usual clinician follow-up email. This approach, paired with the team’s commitment to exceptional care, ensured our emails felt less of a sell a more of an extension of the patient-clinician relationship.
Conclusion
Many businesses scatter their efforts to retain as many customers as possible. We chose to concentrate on those likely to rebook, the crucial 20%, crafting offers and reminders that made rebooking feel not just convenient but irresistible. This focused strategy not only saved time and resources but also solidified the kind of patient relationships that naturally lead to repeat visits.
